Copenhagen based IO Interactive, creators of the immensely popular Hitman series, announced recently they would remaster two of Hitman’s classic titles in 4K. Hitman centers on the intimidating Agent 47. He is the scion of the International Contract Agency or “ICA.” The series follows the master assassin as he sneaks his way through various environments to kill high-powered targets.
Groundbreaking Gameplay in HD
The game is popular for its groundbreaking gameplay style. Hitman gives players complete freedom of approach as they move Agent 47 through the intricate sandbox levels. And it’s available for both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. Fortunately, they also recently released the re-mastered version of Hitman: Blood Money and Hitman: Absolution. And best of all, they are part of the Hitman HD Enhanced Collection.
Enhanced Collection Updates
The Enhanced Collection features a visually stunning 60 FPS. Also, their game developers have listed updates such as:
- Increased texture resolution.
- Updated texture formats.
- Upscale support.
- Heightened shadow map and mirror resolutions.
- Improved lighting
- Updated controls for a more fluid gameplay experience
The fourth and fifth games in the series exclude the Hitman Trilogy compilation released between them. However, Blood Money and Absolution are two of the series most iconic titles. Also, Hitman: Blood Money takes Agent 47 to the Chilean vineyards, Paris Opera House and the White House. In the game, he chases a group of assassins, “The Franchise,” who have been killing off ICA agents.
But Hitman: Absolution also explores the personal story of Agent 47. In fact, he is in the pursuit of redemption after those closest to him betray him. And add to that, the police are hunting him. All that comes with rich dialogue with a distinctive art style. So, players are in for an immersive gaming experience across 20 intense missions.
And lastly, when describing Absolution, Game Director Tore Blystad said, “For the first time, we are taking 47 on a personal journey that allows us to explore other parts of the Hitman fantasy.” So join Agent 47 as he discovers new people and places while evading the authorities.
